Golang Job Details

£50-60,000 salary including free weekly mental health sessions, bonus, and potential to earn equity in the business.

Candidates with the right to live and work in the UK only, please. We're not quite at the stage where we can support international remote hires. Soon, but not quite yet!

The Purpose of this Role

  • You’ll work with our CTO as our backend developer, and will be working to improve and eventually rebuild our core platform to deliver a secure, scalable and robust solution.
  • The MYNDUP platform provides a complete booking and video delivery system to enable virtual therapy and coaching sessions.
  • You will be part of a team that works remotely but will be required to attend meetings held in London from time to time.
  • You will work in a fast-paced agile SDLC environment with a key focus on TDD and CI/CD workflows. You will be required to build out our full backend stack (including the Data layer) which provides APIs to our frontend JS Stack.
  • Working closely with the full development team you will be expected to take an active role in design meetings, sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • You will be required to write well-documented code with appropriate unit tests.
  • You will work with AWS and GitLab to perform CI/CD activities.

The Outcomes that this Role will be focused upon

  • Ensure our users, client companies & practitioners receive the most awesome experience throughout the entire booking and video session flow.
  • Utilizing your user-centric superpowers and seeking to deliver memorable experiences and “WOW” at key product touchpoints.
  • Build a platform where we can leverage AI and ML to enhance the user experience and connect users to the right practitioner within seconds.

Technical Skills

  • Golang (2 years of professional experience)
  • Web API development including JWTs (2 years experience)
  • Relational Database experience (Postgres preferred)
  • GitLab or similar CI/CD
  • AWS, Docker, Microservices

Salary & Benefits

  • The salary is £50-£60,000, depending on experience.
  • Potential to earn equity in the company after a successful 3-month probationary period.
  • This role is remote (within the UK), however, we prefer candidates that are able to travel to meetings in London 1-4 times a month.
  • Your working hours will be “Non-linear working” with no core hours. All we ask is staff deliver on agreed outcomes and deadlines, and are available for all scheduled internal and external meetings as required.
